Room-by-Room Packing Guide
Each room needs a different approach. Here is how professional movers handle each area of your home.
Plates and bowls go in boxes with bubble wrap between each item. Glasses are wrapped individually. Sharp knives go in a separate sealed case. Heavy items like pressure cookers go at the bottom of the box.
Mattresses go inside waterproof mattress bags. Wardrobes are wrapped in stretch film. Bed frames are disassembled and packed flat. Small drawer items go in labeled zip-lock bags.
Sofas are covered in plastic sofa bags plus stretch film. TVs go in their original box if available, or a custom foam-lined carton. Decorative items are individually wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap.
Toys go in soft-sided bags, not heavy cartons. Bicycles are deflated and wrapped. Study tables are disassembled. Mark all boxes as "fragile" if they contain toys with small parts.
Seal all liquid bottles with tape before packing. Place bottles upright in a waterproof bag inside the carton. Discard old or expired products to reduce weight.
