Always get a written quotation that includes: itemized list of goods, packing charges, transport charges, labour charges, and any applicable GST. Do not proceed without a signed agreement.
Genuine movers typically ask for 20–30% advance before the move and the balance upon delivery. Be suspicious of any mover demanding full payment upfront before goods are loaded.
Always get a receipt for any advance payment. The receipt should be on company letterhead with the company seal, mover's signature, amount, date, and your booking reference.
Pay via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS) to the company's official bank account, or via a secure payment gateway. Avoid cash-only deals for large amounts. Get a proper invoice.
