Payment Safety Tips
How to stay safe and avoid fraud when booking packers and movers online
How to Book Safely
1. Verify Your Mover
Before paying any advance, confirm the mover's business name, GST number, and physical address. All movers listed on Vision Packers and Movers are pre-verified, but always do your own due diligence.
2. Insist on a Written Agreement
Always get a written quotation that includes: itemized list of goods, packing charges, transport charges, labour charges, and any applicable GST. Do not proceed without a signed agreement.
3. Avoid Paying 100% Advance
Genuine movers typically ask for 20–30% advance before the move and the balance upon delivery. Be suspicious of any mover demanding full payment upfront before goods are loaded.
4. Get a Proper Receipt
Always get a receipt for any advance payment. The receipt should be on company letterhead with the company seal, mover's signature, amount, date, and your booking reference.
5. Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS) to the company's official bank account, or via a secure payment gateway. Avoid cash-only deals for large amounts. Get a proper invoice.
6. Protect Your Personal Data
Do not share your Aadhaar, PAN, or bank OTP with any mover or their representatives. Vision Packers and Movers will never ask for this information.
7. Track Your Goods
Insist on GPS tracking for your shipment. Keep a copy of all communications, receipts, and agreements. If anything feels off, contact our support team immediately.
8. Document Your Belongings
Before packing begins, photograph all valuables and note their condition. This documentation is essential for any insurance claims in case of damage.
Red Flags — Be Wary If:
- The mover has no physical address or GST number
- Quote is unusually low (60%+ below market rate)
- They demand 100% payment before loading
- Payment must be made to a personal account or UPI ID
- They refuse to provide a written quotation
- They add surprise charges after loading
- You cannot find any reviews or online presence for the company
